With her rich local knowledge and her expansive world view, Naomi Selick brings an enormous depth of experience to each of her real estate transactions. A Beverlywood homeowner and a Los Angeles resident for the last 20 years, Naomi is both neighbor and friend to her clients. Her children attend the local day schools, she is active in the Beverlywood HOA, and she serves as Block Captain for her block on Oakmore Road.
The daughter of an executive at an international corporation, Naomi lived with her family in New Jersey, Buenos Aires, Miami, and Surrey, England. She attended Tufts University in Boston, then transferred to Northwestern University’s School of Speech, in Chicago, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Communication Studies. Her travels in Europe, Israel, Africa and Australia have further enriched her appreciation for the world – and for her home in Los Angeles.
“I consider myself a native Angeleno now,” Naomi says, expressing her long commitment to the neighborhoods she loves and the clients she represents on the West Side of Los Angeles from Brentwood, Beverly Hills, Beverlywood and Pico/Robertson, to Carthay Circle and West Hollywood. Naomi’s first career was as an advertising copywriter, working for large international corporations, such as Ogilvy and Mather and Bozell Worldwide, as well as boutique shops, such as Suissa Miller. Her high-profile accounts included Mattel, McDonald’s and Acura, among others, and her award-winning campaigns were featured on national television as well as in print and on local radio.
Creative, flexible and effective under pressure, Naomi translated her extensive marketing knowledge and her keen eye for design into a second career, buying, renovating and selling houses and duplexes. “I love to walk into a run-down fixer-upper and imagine how gorgeous it’s going to look in a few months,” she says.
That ability to see potential – and potential problems – works for Naomi’s real estate clients as well. As Naomi says, “My clients are my neighbors and friends. I care about them and their happiness. It’s important to me that the decisions they make are right for them.”
Naomi Selick approaches each transaction with her characteristic enthusiasm, her genuine love of people and her passion for the community.
